Challenging Behaviour

Aims:

The aim of this course is to:
  •  give an insight into what challenging behaviour is.
  • identify some causes
  • discuss some approaches to managing challenging behaviour
  • identify key staff skills to enable client empowerment.


By the end of the session delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the implications of challenging behaviour
  • Be able to communicate effectively to change challenging behaviour
  • Explain the role of challenging behaviour
  • Demonstrate an understanding of ABC Sequential Triad.
