This course raises awareness of the reasons for multi system atrophy, it’s affects on the body, current treatment and regimes, on – going research and care planning for the person with multi system atrophy.

This is a rare disease but still affects 1 in every 600 people in the united kindom that damages the nerves that control what your body does automatically (such as the rate at which your heart beats). The Disease can cause dizziness, fainting when you stand up, tremors and other problems associated when you stand up.  Learning about coping strategies and having a better understanding of the condition can significatly improve the quality of life of the sufferer and people who have attended our Multi System Atrophy course have reported back on fantastic results being achieved with their service users/family members.
