The aim of this three hour course is to aid the understanding of care assistants of the principles and practice of recording and documentation

By the end of the course students will be able to-

• Identify what to record
• Understand the legal responsibilities
• Understand the use of recorded information
• Understand confidentiality
• Know how to fill in documentation and where to store it.

• Introduction
• What is a record
• Legal responsibilities including CSCI, Data Protection, no secrets, accountability and confidentiality
• Practice filling in documents.
