A hands on course designed to give people as much practical experience in the 4 days as possible. This course is suitable for people of all abilities, whether the serious DIY’er, the trades people wanting to multi skill or those wanting to embark on a new career. It will teach you how to build walls using bricks and blocks.

At the end of the course you will be able to:

1. Setting out.

2. Mixing of mortar.

3. Cutting blocks and bricks.

4. Laying and pointing of bricks.

5. Building a double brick garden wall in English bond.

6. Building a brick wall with a cavity using brick ties and blocks. Also how to incorporate a window and a door frame in order to establish a small extension.

At the end of the course you will have the knowledge and confidence to carry out bricklaying tasks.
