This award enables learners to develop an understanding of the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992. Learners will appreciate the consequences of poor manual handling techniques and will be able to demonstrate how to plan and use good lifting techniques.

This course is aimed at those who carry out manual handling activities at work and introduce the students to the hazards of manual handling, the risks involved, controls available and what to expect from a manual handling assessment.
