Display Screen Equipment Assessors’ Training
Course Description:
This course is aimed at people who have the responsibility to undertake. assess and/or continue to manage the risk of a DSE user.
This course has been developed to give candidates sufficient knowledge and understanding of the Display Screen Equipment Regulations 1992, which require employers to:
- Identify and take measures to rectify safety and health hazards to visual DSE users
- Provide specific information and training to workers
- Plan daily work routines
- Protect workers eyes and eyesight plus other important legal obligations
Some of the areas covered within this course are:-
- assessment techniques
- eyes and eyesight
- fatigue
- record and review
- repetitive strain injuries
- upper limb disorders
- stress
- risk reduction.
By the end of the course delegates should:
- Have an understanding of the Display Screen Equipment regulations 1992
- Have a clear understanding of their responsibilities under this legislation
- Provide specific information to DSE users
- Effectively plan daily work routines.
