This course, which is moderated by NCFE, provides an awareness of the legal requirements related to the handling of objects and people. It also promotes good practice in moving and handling techniques, develops skills of risk assessment and problem solving and reduces the risk of injury for those involved in moving and handling

This qualification is NVQ based, which requires you to create a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate achievement of earning outcomes. Your assessor observes and questions you orally in the classroom and within your own work environment to illustrate competence over a period of time. The course concludes with a 28 question multiple choice examination.
