This three-hour course incorporates a practical session, which involves students putting out fires in a controlled environment using suitable fire fighting equipment. The course also provides information on how fire spreads, what to do in the event of a fire (evacuation procedures), and principles on using a fire extinguisher. During the course, group discussion is encouraged to identify hazards specific to the workplace.
