Course Description:

Aims

The course aims to provide ongoing opportunities for team and cell leaders to develop their practical competence in the workplace to nationally determined and recognised standards and to motivate participants to engage in developmental activity, based on their existing competence, personal career goals and the demands of the workplace.

Entry Requirements

This course is for practising team leaders:-

• whose work involves the application of knowledge and skills in a significant range of varied work activities
• who has some degree of personal autonomy and responsibility
• collaborates with others through membership of a team

The full level 2 NVQ in Team Leading comprises of four mandatory units and two optional units from a choice of five.

Mandatory Units

• Organise and improve your team's work
• Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety
• Maintain and develop effective working relationships
• Organise and communicate information

Optional units

• Resolve customer service problems
• Organise your team's resources
• Organise and develop yourself
• Help your team members to develop their performance
• Enter and find data using information technology.

Successful completion of the ILM Level 2 NVQ in Team Leading provides eligibility for a minimum grade of Affiliate membership of ILM.
