ILM Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management

Course Description:

The Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management aims to give practising and potential Managers the foundation for their formal development.

The programme has two primary objectives:

  • to assist participants in gaining the basic knowledge required by a manager
  • to develop basic management skills
Duration
Minimum of 160 guided learning hours, excluding assessment, to be completed normally within one year, or up to a maximum of 3 years.  Nominal learning time is expected to be 300 hours.

Structure
  • A short induction lasting 3 hours, plus
  • Minimum 7 hours' tutorial guidance for personal development and assessment for the full award, plus
  • Ten 15-hour units:

  • Managing Resources
