Course Description:

The programme has two primary objectives:

• to assist participants in gaining the knowledge required by a middle manager
• to develop middle management skills

Duration

Minimum of 220 guided learning hours, excluding assessment, to be completed normally within one year, or up to a maximum of three years.

Structure

• An induction lasting 3 hours, plus
• Minimum 7 hours' tutorial guidance for assessments for the full award, or pro rata for single modules, plus

Seven 30-hour modules:

• Self Management and Skills
• Operating Context and Change
• Meeting Customer Needs
• Planning and Resources
• Finance and Numeracy
• People Management
• Information and Communication

Assessment

• Seven work based assignments (1200 words)
• Management Report (4000-5000 words)
• Continuing Professional Development Plan
• Individual EV interview
